Kelly Clarkson won't have a baby until she quits music.
The 'My Life Would Suck Without You' singer is too busy concentrating on her career to consider starting a family and doesn't believe you can be a pop star and a mother at the same time.
She said: "Oh, my God, I have no desire to be a parent at the moment. I would not be a good mother. I mean, I love being an aunt to my niece and nephew. And I used to want to adopt about 10 kids - because I had friends who were adopted, and I thought that was the coolest thing, to be chosen. But my job is just too selfish."
Kelly, 26, is currently single and claims her hectic work schedule gets in the way of finding romance.
The former 'American Idol' winner - who previously dated singer-songwriter and touring partner Graham Colton - told the USA Today newspaper: "I'm not against having a boyfriend, if I found a guy who could handle my job that would be cool. But I've dated a couple of guys who were awesome, and the celebrity part of my life and the travelling part are hard to get around. You never get to see each other, especially if you're both musicians.
"Also, where I am supposed to meet someone when I'm working so much? I travel with a bunch of married men."
It seems Kelly has had a change of heart regarding her single status.
Just last week, the singer claimed she was on the hunt for a boyfriend because she "badly" wants to fall in love for the first time.
She said: "I've never been in love. I want to be so badly - I'm a hopeless romantic, but I haven't been there yet. But I'd prefer to wait for the right one than settle for second best. The guy also needs to have a good sense of humour, and facial hair!"
