Kelly Rowland believes the success of her newest single is an 'unexpected blessing'.
Kelly released her single Motivation in April and the song has since achieved great chart success. Going platinum since its debut, Kelly is in awe at how popular the sexy ballad has become.
"Motivation, wow," Kelly told MTV News.
"It's a blessing above anything, and it's just so crazy how something so unexpected - because everything is so tempo-driven on the radio, and I remember being slightly nervous about that, but then I just got over it real quick because I just [had] such great confidence in the record."
The song chronicles a steamy lover's request for deep intimacy. Kelly is happy audiences have embraced the seductive aspects of her personality in this song.
"I think that there was a side of all women and all people, period; a sensual side, and it just needed to come out this summer," Kelly said.
"And I think Motivation kinda helped motivate that - a lot.'
Kelly is inclined to believe that Motivation motivated many people to vigorously pursue amour. Fans seem to agree with her assertion.
'Somebody came up to me just last week and said, 'How many babies do you think were made off of 'Motivation'?'' Kelly recalled.
' was like, 'Oh my God, I didn't even think about it like that!'"
Kelly's album Here I Am is now in stores.
