Kanye West is reportedly planning to ask Kim Kardashian to marry him but has not already proposed.
The couple welcomed their first child together last weekend.
Apparently Kanye is already proving himself to be a great father to daughter North. Making his union with Kim solid is a top priority.
"I can't imagine them not getting married. That's in their future," a source told People magazine.
Kanye isn't believed to be rushing Kim down the aisle despite reports he had already proposed.
UK newspaper The Sun previously claimed Kanye had popped the question days after North's birth and plans for a September wedding were underway.
According to People, the couple are enjoying taking a time out from work and want to focus on their daughter before they talk marriage.
"They're putting work aside right now to focus on the family. They're in it 100 per cent," the insider added.
Kim finalised her divorce from her second husband in April.
The reality star married basketball player Kris Humphries in 2011 but the couple called it quits after just 72 days. She began dating Kanye shortly thereafter.
Divorce proceedings were dragged out amid allegations Kim used their union for publicity.
He initially demanded an annulment but eventually granted her the divorce.
Kim was previously married to Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004.
Kanye was previously engaged to designer Alexis Phifer. The former couple called off their 18-month engagement in 2008. It would be his first marriage.
