The singer makes up one fifth of successful British group Girls Aloud, along with Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding.
Kimberley has a wealth of fans across the globes nowadays, but she admits she wasn’t always so popular.
“I had a bit of a hard time when I was in senior school – girls took an instant dislike to me, which I never understood,” she explained in the British edition of OK! magazine.
The pretty star says she didn’t date many boys when she was younger, although some of her male classmates did take a shine to her. Kimberley’s popularity amongst the opposite sex could have been one of the reasons her female peers were envious. Kimberley didn’t let the bullying get her down though, as she’s always had a powerful sense of character.
“If any lads said they liked me they’d be nasty to me, but I wasn’t interested in boys in the slightest at that time,” she explained.
“Luckily I’ve always been a strong-minded person so I stood up for myself.”
