The pretty pop star makes up one fifth of British band Girls Aloud, who are considered one of the UK’s most successful acts of the past decade.
As a star of one of Britain’s most renowned girl groups, Kimberley has a soft spot for a particular member of one of her country’s best-loved boybands - Take That’s Robbie.
The singer is thrilled Robbie is returning to the group alongside Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Gary Barlow after quitting in the mid 90s.
“I’m so pleased that they’ve been able to bury the hatchet. I was a big fan growing up. I had a bad, bad Robbie crush and as a teenager I used to dream of being his girlfriend!” blushed Kimberley.
The gorgeous star has been lucky enough to meet her idol on a few occasions, and admits it took her a while to get over the initial shock of encountering such a big star. Kimberley’s expectations weren’t shattered though, as she and Robbie got along swimmingly.
“I have met him a few times, he’s lovely and I was a bit star-struck at first,” she confessed.
The singer also has a lot of respect for Robbie’s bandmate Gary. She participated in a charity climb up Africa’s highest mountain with him, and found he had a fantastic sense of humour.
“I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Gary and he had me in stitches. He’s so laid-back, he’s lying down!” she laughed.
