Kimberley Walsh is scared of camping after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.
The Girls Aloud star – who climbed the African mountain with a group of celebrities, including her bandmate Cheryl Cole and Take That star Gary Barlow, earlier this year for charity – found the experience so difficult she even cut short her trip to this year's V Festival in Chelmsford because she couldn't face another night under canvas.
She admitted: "It's nice, we can just chill out in the sun. We're just here for the day. After the whole Kilimanjaro thing, camping's a no-no in my mind. There was just no way I could do it."
Girls Aloud are currently enjoying a year-long hiatus to concentrate on solo ventures, and although Kimberley is keen to get back to work she admits she is loving having time off to spend with her loved ones.
She added to Absolute Radio: "We're pretty busy. We've given ourselves a few months off now, for the first time really in like six or seven years. So we're really enjoying just having a bit of time to chill and do holidays with the girls, boyfriends and family and it's been nice.
"We've got a Coldplay show in September, which is going to be good. We'll all get back together to be on stage, and then we're all working on individual projects at the moment, but I can't actually give any details. But there are some exciting things, so hopefully I'll have something to tell you before the end of the year."
