At just 4ft 11in Chenoweth is very petite - and the star admits she sometimes has to shop in chldren's wear stores to find clothes that fit her.
She said: 'I never really think about being short or a shrimp until someone goes 'You're short!'
'But it doesn't offend me too much.'
Kristin says that GapKids is one of the places she purchases her outfits.
The 42-year-old added: 'Occasionally I will shop in GapKids. I can wear a size 12/14. It's kind of fun.'
Although most of her body is tiny, the Broadway star says she does find it difficult to find bikinis that fit her bigger chest as well.
She added to People.com: 'Shopping for a bikini for me is like it would be for a lot of women in America - hell on Earth.
'I'm a 32C on top. I have curves! I'm not a stick, so the wrong suit can make me look squatty. I have to watch that.'
