Lady Sovereign started crushing snacks at a petrol station after being told she couldn't buy cigarettes.
The 23-year-old rapper was furious after the shop assistant refused to give her a pack of cigarettes or serve her alcohol, even though she had ID to prove she was over 18.
The star unleashed her anger on a food stand, leaving a huge mess of ruined food.
An onlooker said: "It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Lady Sovereign was fuming. She shouted at the male shop assistant that she was 23 years old.
"Then she completely lost it and started smashing up the crisp stand. She was hurling packets on the floor and kicking them."
The shop assistant then told her to leave, before saying she was banned from the shop.
The 'Jigsaw' star later blamed her behaviour on the weather and the high pollen count.
She wrote on her Twitter page: "Hay fever really messed me up - I felt awful."
Earlier this year, Lady Sovereign admitted she "lost the plot" in 2007 after being dropped by Def Jam records.
The music star - real name Louise Harman - said: "I lost the plot a few times. I was cutting myself and stupid things like that. I was tired.
"I felt like it was just push, push, push. I didn't have a chance to record any new songs, it was the same old songs.
"I flew home from America and my manager rang me and said, 'OK, it's definitely over.' And it hit me.
"I was on anti-depressants for a bit but that wasn't a good idea."
