Lana Del Rey feels "discouraged" after her songs were leaked.
Earlier this summer, songs for Lana's upcoming new album were released ahead of schedule.
The experience has left the star feeling jaded and unmotivated to pen new tracks in the future.
"To be honest, what really happened was, three years ago somebody remotely accessed my hard drive, so even songs I've never emailed to myself [were accessed]. There are hundreds of them," she explained to radio.com. "I do feel discouraged, yeah. I don't really know what to put on the record. But I guess I could just put them on and see what happens. Each time I write… I'll never write a song if I don't think it's going to be perfect for the record. I was working on new music until my record got leaked, 'cause my life is like completely invaded. "
The singer-and-songwriter continued to discuss the negative impact fame has had on her career. Touring has left her feeling uninspired with her music.
"I don't think [fame has] been conducive to writing, being on the road and all that. I don't really feel inspired to write at all, but beforehand, when I was in Brooklyn for nine years… I was kind of a night owl and just walked around and met weird people. That was me picking up life experiences and meshing them into my own. That really did it for me... I really feel like I need six months to live again, time to be like, normal or abnormal," she continued. "I don't have anyone writing anything for me. It's such an internal well and if it's not full, it's just not full."
Lana has previously explained where she gets her musical inspiration from. Before her privacy was invaded by her music being leaked, she gushed about getting her ideas from the dream world.
"Einstein said, 'Your imagination is more important than intelligence,' and I have a very, very big imagination," she previously revealed. "I love to live in my internal world and will never stop seeking influences and visions for my art."
