According to her support act Max Jury, Lana Del Rey has cancelled her first ever appearance in Israel due to the ongoing conflict between Israeli and Palestinian forces.
The singer was set to perform in Tel Aviv on 20 August, and was one of the few high profile artists not to pull out of performing in the region, but the show has now been postponed.
News of the show's cancellation was revealed on Twitter by the singer's support act Max Jury.
Unfortunately the show with @LanaDelRey in Tel Aviv on August 20th has been postponed. Will let y'all know the rescheduled date ASAP
Militants in Israel and Palestine continued violence yesterday (8 August) after a three-day truce. The Israeli military have killed more than 1,900 Palestinians, most of whom were civilians, in response to Hamas aggression over the past month. 67 people have died in Israel.
Del Rey is the latest in a string of artists to pull out of shows in the region, after Cee Lo Green, Megadeth, Neil Young, Backstreet Boys and many more cancelled gigs recently.
The singer is yet to comment on the cancellation.
