Lenny Kravitz song about Nicole Kidman

Now that it's over rocker Lenny Kravitz is speaking out about his brief relationship with Oscar winning actress Nicole Kidman.

According to reports, Kravitz's roving eye was the reason for the split but it didn't stop him from being inspired to write a song about the actress. Although he doesn't name Kidman he describes “Lady” as a love song about a “woman I saw a lot and with whom I was together.”

Since the fall, the pair had been seen in public on numerous occasions although neither admitted to being together as a couple. Late last year, it was rumored the pair was heading into studio to record together but it is not known whether that ever materialized.

The love song will appear on his next album, Baptism. Due out May 17, his seventh album follows 2001's Lenny. The project was complete Lenny â€" all the production, arrangements, songwriting and instrumentation. The only collaboration on the entire album is with retiring hip-hop star Jay-Z. Kravitz will promote his album with a planned world tour beginning May 31 at Holland's PinkPop festival. The European leg will run through to early July before he returns to launch his U.S. tour.
