Liam Neeson is "ashamed" to admit he hasn't listened to any of Rihanna's music.
The actor is starring alongside the songstress in upcoming science fiction movie Battleship. Despite working with each other on set, Liam hasn't familiarised himself with his co-star's famous songs.
He hasn't tuned in to any records for more than 30 years, starting from when John Lennon was killed in 1980.
"She's a lovely girl but I don't know her music, I'm ashamed to say," he told British newspaper The Sun.
"I met her on set in Hawaii but I stopped listening to music when John Lennon was shot."
Liam has also revealed his confusion at the start of filming. The Hollywood star turned up late because he thought shooting kicked off in December, rather than September.
"I had no preparation, I put on the costume and read the script once. That was it," he admitted.
Battleship is directed by Peter Berg and follows a fleet of ships forced to fight with an armada of unknown origins.
It is slated for release later this year.
