Just how critical is Lil Wayne's condition? There are plenty of conflicting reports out there about Wayne's hospitalization Friday (March 15) after allegedly suffering multiple seizures, but one thing not in question is the outpouring of love and support from the MC's peers.
"Praying for Lil wayne. N his family," Snoop Dogg tweeted after news of Weezy's health scare hit the Web. "We need a heavy prayer line to get Wayne bc to life. We need to help. He's our Lil brother @LilTunechi."
Of course the Young Money/ Cash Money family had Lil Wayne's back, insisting that TMZ's dire report overstated the seriousness of the situation. "My son is in good spirit..feelin much betta...be home soon.YMCMB," Cash Money CEO Birdman tweeted about his "son," while label president Mack Maine implored fans: "Dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false!!"
We will be releasing an official statement shortly but dont believe the nonsense about comas and tubes to breathe...that's false!!
Young Money rapper Lil Twist defended Wayne against "lies" in the media. "I don't give a f--- what the press, media, etc. have to say about me... But don't spread false lies about my family!!" he wrote. "I just need my fans to understand, my big brother fans, & my lil brother fans to understand that if them maggots didn't spread bull sh--... They couldn't feed theirs. So.... Basically people do whatever they have to do for that Dollar... "
Weezy collaborator B.o.B echoed Maine and Twist's words, downplaying TMZ's claim that the rapper was "read his last rites" in Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital. "He str8," Bobby Ray wrote. "Don't believe the rumors."
Fellow Atlanta MC T.I. vented about the conflicting reports and the likely effect on Wayne's family. "Just holla'd @my Lil bruh Tunechi...& he skraight! ... That man daughter is like mines," he wrote, adding, "That sh-- surely got his mama hurtin, his kids hurtin,& he got true to da game patnas like me & Othas who ready to RIDE bout all da f--- sh--."

Singer Kat DeLuna, who enlisted Wayne for her "Unstoppable" remix, asked her Twitter followers to "keep @liltunechi Lil Wayne in our prayers. #prayfortunechi #prayforwayne." Christina Milian offered more positive thoughts for Wayne and his family: "My prayers are with you @LilTunechi #ymcmb."
Lil Wayne is an avid sports fan, even blogging for ESPN the Magazine and offering commentary on "1st and 10," so it's no surprise the sports world has been affected by the news. Retired NFL quarterback Kurt Warner chimed in: "Terrible news about Lil Wayne... Prayers being sent up for him & family!"
Meanwhile, swimmer Ryan Lochte, a loud-and-proud hip-hop fan, sent "prayers to @LilTunechi back in LA. Hang in there and stay fearless man," and gymnast Gabby Douglas, a fellow 2012 Olympian, also offered "prayers for @LilTunechi #PrayForWeezy."
