Lil Wayne has revealed that he accidentally shot himself at the age of 14 - whilst, rather embarrassingly, posing in the mirror pretending to be his hero, the Notorious BIG.
During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Friday (March 14) the rapper explained he was at home messing around with a gun (as you do) and it went off - and said he even had to slide to the door in his own blood in order to get to the ambulance.
"I was watching a Notorious BIG video...and...(I) was looking in the mirror, tripping...and it went off and...I woke up to the knocks of the police at the door," he said. "I was in my mom's room and I was kind of far from the door...I heard them stop knocking and I was like, 'They left me'...I gathered myself and I slid on my own blood, because we had wooden floors, thank God...and I kicked the door and they heard me kick the door and they opened the door."
Lil Wayne recently announced his forthcoming album, Tha Carter V, will be his final LP - unless someone was to offer him "25 to 35 million". Set to be the rapper's eleventh album, a leaked tracklisting, which has not been confirmed as legitimate, showed the likes of Drake, Kanye West, The Weeknd and Nas will feature on the record.
