A week after Lil Wayne informed fans that he won't be able to post any more letters to WeezyThanxYou.com, the incarcerated MC surprised followers with a note detailing his current situation in solitary confinement.
The superstar lyricist was recently slapped with the punishment, which stemmed from a May incident in which he was caught in his cell with a charger, headphones and a timepiece that also functioned as an MP3 player. In a message posted on his website Wednesday (October 13) and titled "I'm Back!" the MC broke down what exactly his new punishment entails.
"By now I'm guessing that you all have heard about my recent relocation to the bing, which is punitive segregation. Basically, no T.V., no radio, no snacks/junkfood, and one phone call a week," Wayne explained. "This punishment has been handed to me for my earlier MP3 incident. I admit, I f----- up and now I must deal with the consequences."
Weezy admitted that not being able to communicate with his loved ones as frequently is challenging but added that checking out fan mail is helping him get through his bid.
"I do miss being able to hear from my family everyday but once a week will have to suffice. To them, I apologize," he continued. "I'm still able to receive mail so reading and responding is still a huge part of my day. I'd like to thank everyone that sent me B-Day cards and wishes ... that was terrific. You all are wonderful, simply wonderful."
Wayne maintained that despite being stripped of his few creature comforts, he's staying upbeat and pointed out that his love of music led to his current circumstances.
"I just wanted you all to know that I'm good and I'll be good!" he wrote. "But at the end of the day, I did it all for music!!!"
The megastar spitter also updated fans on his post-prison plans, which include more videos for his album I Am Not a Human Being and repackaging his Nino Brown DVD project. Just as he has with other letters, the MC wrapped up the missive with personal shout-outs to dozens of fans. Weezy is slated to be released on November 4.
