No jail can hold Lil Wayne's music career, as he releases a new song and does an interview from behind bars.
Lil Wayne use his phone privileges to call the legendary Funkmaster Flex show yesterday for an interview.
He updated fans on the collaborations he plans when he's released in three months (with Andre 3000 and Tech N9ne) and gave props to Eminem for his support.
He also said he feels like he's bothering his friends by calling them from prison.
He said, "I really don't like to disturb them, and bother them, in the midst of what they're doing right now. I know they have a lot on their plate every single day. That's my thing with everybody. Everybody get mad at me, they're like 'Why haven't you called me?' And I'd be like, 'I don't wanna bother.'"
Lil Wayne also gave the world a preview of his forthcoming EP I'm Not A Human Being, due out on his birthday, September 27.
The first track, 'Right Above It', has hit the 'net, featuring his platinum protégé Drake.
It was recorded before he went to prison, so we can only imagine the kind of lyrics he'll emerge with.
