Lil Wayne is ready to hit the road again. Five years after the first America's Most Wanted Music Festival, Weezy has put together another all-star roster for this summer's sequel.
Joining him this time around are T.I.
and Future, who will be on board for the 40-date amphitheater and arena trek that kicks off on July 9 with a show in Birmingham, Alabama, and swing through Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Boston, Chicago and Denver before winding up at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California, on September 1.
Wayne will be celebrating the long-awaited release of I Am Not a Human Being 2, which drops on Tuesday. Tip and Future will be on hand for all the dates, with additional support acts to be announced later.
The 2009 edition, which featured Young Jeezy and Soulja Boy Tell'Em, Pleasure P, Jeremih and the Young Money Crew, grossed approximately $42 million and played to more than 800,000 fans, according to the tour announcement. Weezy won't stop after Most Wanted, though, as he's already announced a European tour with Mac Miller that is slated to kick off in October.
Wayne proclaimed himself "more than good" last week after surviving a seizure scare that sent him to a Los Angeles hospital.
"I just want to say thank you to all ya'll for ya'll prayers and your concerns and all that," said an appreciative Wayne, who appeared to be sitting in a hotel room in the 90-second clip posted on TMZ. "I swear to God I felt that love when I was laid up in that mother----in' hospital bed. I want all ya'll to know that I'm good ... more than good."
He also teased his summer plans at that time, saying, "Also I'm still going on tour, America's Most Wanted ... Some of my closest friends in the game [will be joining me]."
He brought out T.I., who took a seat right next to Weezy and said, "I'm good, we good. It's all good." Tip confirmed that the tour is launching on July 5, suggesting that he will be alongside the Young Money kingpin on the road. "Get you some barbecue on the 4th and holla at us on the 5th," said an amped-up Tip.
