Lily Allen has made an unusual admission on Twitter - agreeing with a critic who said her new songs were 'rubbish' and 'disappointing'.
The admition came after a fan tweeted that he found Allen's new material to be far below satisfactory, feeling instead like it was a simple cash grab. Choosing to respond she agreed with the fan and chose to point the finger instead at Warner, who she claims are holding back the best material from Sheezus and radio stations who refuse to play it.
@RFWilding what you've heard so far yes. All i can do is do my best, the labels and the radio stations won't play the better stuff.
@RFWilding keep the faith
So far Allen has released four tracks from Sheezus: 'Hard Out Here', 'Air Balloon', as well as 'L8 CMMR' and new single 'Our Time'. As the fan states the tracks have unfortunately failed to impress and have also been mired by various controversies relating to gender politics and race.
Most recently Allen was embroiled in a spat with journalists after she claimed that feminism was an obsolete concept in a Shortlist interview. Following the publication she claimed that she had been misquoted by journalist and told critics to "fuck off".
