Lily Allen attacks the NME

Lily Allen's been mouthing off again and this time her enemy is the NME.

In the week Allen ranked third place in the publication's 'Cool List' she has posted a rant on My Space responding to remarks made by Editor Conor McNicholas. His comment "you can still rock a crowd when you're wearing stilettos" didn't go down well along with the decision to run with "another fucking Muse cover" opposed to the female victors of the list.

Debating its right to judge she continues her tirade on the musical weekly, "I don't really think the NME are in any position to tell us who is cool and who isn't. Personally I don't think a bunch of people sitting in an office drinking tea, inventing musical genres, and watching Nathan Barley DVDs are leading any kind of cool brigade, do you? But I did find it interesting that they wanted to put five women on the cover, and wanted to name 2006, our year."

Beth Ditto vocalist of US trio Gossip topped the controversial annual list.

In other news Allen's next single 'Littlest Things' released on December 11th will feature a cover of Keane's 'Everybody's Changing'.
