Lily Allen has defended Miley Cyrus' provocative image, claiming the 'We Can't Stop' singer is 'owning' her sexuality.
Despite the fact her comeback single 'Hard Out Here' openly criticised female popstars for their sexually-charged images, material and dance moves (sample lyric: "I don't need to shake my ass for you, 'cause I've got a brain"), apparently she's got no problem when Miley dresses provocatively and twerks. Interesting.
Allen says she's the reason she's got no qualms with Cyrus is because nobody's telling Miley how to dress or act. "She's owning it and it definitely comes from her. She's rebelling. I love her," Allen gushed to Glamour magazine. "If you wanna put your body on display like that, it's absolutely fine. It's when somebody else tells you that you need to do that in order to sell your product that's offensive.''
