Overview
The pregnant singer, who has previously admitted she doesn’t have enough money to never work again, snubbed offers from several major magazines to sell exclusive coverage of her nuptials according to The Mirror.
A £1.5 million deal was on the table from Hello!, while OK! offered £1.25 million to have access to her marriage to Sam Cooper, which took place on Saturday.
But Lily, 26, chose to keep the ceremony to strictly friends and family and is believed to have paid to have extra police to keep the press and fans away.
And a guest told the newspaper the service was an emotional one.
“Lily’s dad Keith Allen said Sam was ‘another son, an older brother to Alfie and a hugely welcome addition to the family’. Then Lily thanked Sam for putting up with her and told him he was the love of her life. There were a few tears.”
The couple will honeymoon at Glastonbury later this month.
