Lily Allen has spoken for the first time since she lost her baby.
In a message on Twitter, Allen said she was still “very sick” but thanked her fans for their continued support.
On Monday, a spokesperson for the singer confirmed that she had suffered a miscarriage sixth months into her pregnancy.
“Thank you for all your kind messages,” Allen wrote on the social-networking website today (November 5).
“I'm still very sick but the messages are helping me to be stronger. Thank you x x.”
Allen and boyfriend Sam Cooper announced the singer's pregnancy in August.
It is the second time that Allen has suffered a miscarriage.
In January 2008, the star lost a baby with then-boyfriend, Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers.
Allen and Cooper, 32, who owns a painting and decorating company, have been dating since July 2009.
