The pregnant singer and husband Sam Cooper married in a church ceremony near their home in the Cotswolds and followed it up with a sedate tea party for close family.
But after the formalities were out of the way, the real party in Lily’s back garden got under way, and according to the Daily Mail, featured a red phone box full of beer, a Pimms stand, a cupcake stall and a roast pig.
The happy couple partied into the small hours, with Lily handing out kebabs at 3am, telling her guests: “Everyone’s hammered, have a kebab.”
A guest told the newspaper: “Lily said there would be a treat for the ‘grown-ups’ later in the evening, and it was daylight before we stopped dancing.’ There was a short fireworks display. Then Lily’s father, the actor Keith Allen, sang rather badly. But that was revealed to be all a big joke and then a real fireworks display began. The real singers, Lil’ Band O’ Gold, played twice.”
