LILY ALLEN is to take legal action against a British tabloid that suggested she told kids to take drugs.
The News of the World story claimed the singer said she encouraged children to take drugs to see what they think.
The paper said that in an interview with Dutch mag Revu, Allen said: "Parents should say, 'Drugs might seem fun, but they do funny things to your brain. Some people react to it good, some don't. Try it and see what you think'."
It also said she admitted that if she wasn't famous she would have taken a lot more drugs.
"It wouldn't be too wise right now," she said. "I've never been good with cocaine or drugs like that. They make me passionately angry on everything. I steer clear of heroin or crack.'
But in a post on her page on social-networking site Twitter, she refuted the story and said: "Phoning my lawyers and taking legal action, News of the World need a better dutch translator, as if I would say that (about drugs). And they know it..."
An hour later, she added: "Wont let the c*nts ruin her day. I scored the triple, single, album and airplay. couldn't be happier, thank you , it's not me it's you."
