The British pop star, 25, and her fiancé Sam Cooper experienced heartache back in November when Lily suffered a miscarriage with the baby she had been carrying for six months.
Lily is reluctant to discuss the tragic ordeal, although chat show host Piers – whose new programme Piers Morgan Tonight for CNN will premiere in America on Monday night – is keen to talk to her.
In an exchange on social-networking site Twitter, Lily told Piers she would only open up if she knew money would be donated to help women who have lost unborn babies.
“# @piersmorgan I don't need to enhance my career Piers, the only way I would justify coming on your show would be to give money to a charity (sic),” wrote Lily.
The singer would want a large donation made to UK charity Sands – the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, as she greatly admires the work they do to help women experiencing the same ordeal she went through.
“# @piersmorgan i'd do it for a million for SANDS. money, mouth?????????????????? (sic),” Lily challenged the television star, describing the organisation as “a charity that helps women to overcome the kind of grief that I have had to experience”.
After her tragic end to 2010, there was at least some happy news. The singer got engaged to Sam on Christmas Day as the couple enjoyed a romantic break in the Far East, and Lily has been enjoying planning her nuptials.
