Lily Allen reportedly wants to work on getting her "edge" back after becoming a mother for the first time.
The British star gave birth to Ethel Mary in November of last year and has consequently settled into a comfortable country lifestyle with husband Sam Cooper.
Lily was spotted enjoying some time with friends in London recently and sources say the 26-year-old is eager to work in nights out with her new motherhood role.
"Lily is worried she's too young to settle down in the country. After her night out in London, she told pals: 'It felt good to let my hair down. Country life can be boring!'
"Lily loves Ethel and wouldn't change being a mum for the world. She's enjoyed her time in the country, but misses aspects of her old life. She says she wants to strike a balance between being a mum and getting her 'edge' back," an insider said.
Lily quit her music career when she moved to the countryside two years ago. However, insiders say the singer is eager to start it up again.
"Lily has started working again and is lining up lots of music projects," the source added to Closer magazine. "She says her fashion business, Lucy In Disguise, needs attention and she's even talking about future TV opportunities."
