Linkin Park have said they are making progress recording their new album and are hopeful it will be released next year.
The group are currently in the studio with producer Rick Rubin working on the follow-up to 2010's 'A Thousand Suns'.
Frontman Chester Bennington told Rolling Stone they were “well on our way to making our next record”.
"I can tell you that we have a lot of good music, a lot of quality songs,” he added.
Meanwhile, Linkin Park recently released their new single 'Iridescent', which features in the current hit film ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ and marks Linkin Park’s third time working with the director Michael Bay.
