Little Mix are channelling the 80s sounds of Cyndi Lauper and Prince on their new record.
The British girlgroup have made waves all over the world since being formed on the UK version of The X Factor in 2011.
Their third album is due out later this year, following on from 2013's Salute, which made the top ten around the globe.
"Our biggest inspiration is Cyndi Lauper. We want it to be fun and be music for everyone – but especially for girls," Jesy Nelson gushed to British newspaper The Sun.
"We love Prince too, he's an icon and definitely inspired the sound."
Jesy is joined by bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards.
Leigh-Anne is just as in awe of pintsized pop star Prince and is looking for a way to bump into him.
"He's just so cool. How can we meet him? The closest we've got is our eyebrow lady does Prince too. She was like, 'Right, I'm done with you, I'm off to Prince now,'" she laughed.
Blonde babe Perrie recently teased Little Mix fans with hints about the new album.
She took to the group's Twitter page to share her thoughts on the new music, and also told followers how hard the band are working to perfect the sound.
"I'd like to take a minute to say that I know you guys are waiting for the album, but I can promise you... it is worth the wait! We want nothing more than our fans to be happy with what we've worked so hard on. We have put our heart and souls into this album so we hope you love it as much as we do.
"We're currently recording the album now, adding those finishing Little Mix touches that make it an amazing album and we can't wait to present it to you all. We love you, our darling Mixers, thank you for being so patient and always sticking by us. I hope you actually realise how f**king awesome you are. Pardon my language! (sic)," she posted.
