Former X Factor star Zayn has been getting cosy with current hopeful Perrie after meeting her backstage at the talent competition studios.
The boyband star, who previously dated Rebecca Ferguson after last year's show, is said to have started seeing Edwards after sharing a steamy encounter following One Direction's performance on The X Factor last month.
The pair were also seen cuddling up when One Direction and Little Mix both filmed the video to the programme's charity single last weekend.
A source told British newspaper The Sun: 'Zayn has got in there first but Niall is obsessed with her too. They met her on the video shoot and have both been trying to win her over.'
The source added: 'They plan to come out as a couple after The X Factor has finished.'
