Louis Tomlinson has promised Briana Jungwirth's mother he will provide for their child, it has been claimed.
News surfaced earlier this week that the One Direction heartthrob is reportedly expecting his first child with the 23-year-old Los Angeles-based stylist. While the star is yet to confirm the news, TMZ reports that the Louis, 23, took a few days out of the band's world tour to fly to California and meet Briana's mother.
The star spent time with the American's family as well as the chimpanzee which featured in the British group's Steal My Girl video. TMZ have obtained pictures from his visit, one of which sees Louis cuddling the animal, while another sees Briana sitting beside the chimp with another female. The final shot is of the singer with his arm around a boy who is believed to be Briana's younger brother.
Louis apparently promised his baby's grandmother that he will stand by her daughter and do everything he can to provide for them.
After the successful meet up, Louis rejoined the band's On the Road Again tour, which is currently on its North American leg.
Louis met Briana in May and was spotted on a number of nights out with her just weeks after breaking up with his long-term girlfriend Eleanor Calder.
But it has also been reported that the Best Song Ever singer made a point of informing his ex of his impending fatherhood before the news became public knowledge.
"Eleanor knows and she's fine," a source previously told People.
Simon Cowell, who put the band together on British singing show The X Factor in 2010, is also alleged to have shared some advice with Louis about becoming a father.
"He told Louis it will obviously be a change. But he knows what an amazing experience being a dad has been for himself," reports British newspaper The Mirror.
