Louis Tomlinson would love to ask some One Direction fans why they decide to launch hard objects at the singers' heads.
The group, comprising of Louis, Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan, played the final show of their On the Road Again Tour in the UK on Saturday (31Oct15). Their fans are known for being extremely enthusiastic, which occasionally means they get carried away when showing their dedication - something Louis has learnt to accept.
"It's something that interests me," he told Australia's Kyle and Jackie O radio show. "I'd love to ask a few of the people who are throwing stuff what's going on really because you've gone to the gig and you're like, 'Oh I'm looking forward to seeing these lot,' and the next minute you know you're throwing really hard objects at their head. All our concerts are pretty chaotic and normally it's only water so it's fine."
While their tour might be over the boys won't have much time to rest as they are gearing up for the release of their new record Made in the A.M. It's due to hit stores on 13 November (15), the same day Justin Bieber's latest album will be released.
"I don't think any of us are too superstitious but it's one of those things isn't it, Friday the 13th, which adds a bit of extra worry but anyway," Louis noted of the spooky release date.
"I think realistically you're always going to be releasing against another artist. The most important thing for us is the fact that hopefully our fans like the work that we've spent so much time on. It makes it a bit more fun, having the competition there, of course it does."
The LP is extra special as it is the first since Zayn Malik left the group in March (15). At the time he explained he wanted a more normal life which was why he'd made the decision, but it's since come to light that he was having trouble reconciling with One Direction's musical style.
"I think it's like anything, it's a difficult time at first in any job when you lose part of your crew but in reality it ended up being a positive for us because we knew the four of us really wanted to make it work and I think we're showing that," Louis said. "We carried on making the record and business as usual.
"He had his own reasons; the bottom line is he did fall out of love with the music, which is absolutely fine."
