Lupe Fiasco has announced the release date for his upcoming new album.
'Lasers' is due out on March 8, 2011 and will be the follow-up to 2007's 'The Cool'.
The rapper-producer - real name Wasalu Muhammad Jaco - has faced a number of delays in releasing his third LP, which will be coming out through Atlantic Records.
Revealing the news, Jaco took to Twitter with a tweet saying "Victory!" and a link to a picture with him and Atlantic Records executive Julie Greenwald.
The previous delays of 'Lasers' prompted a number of online petitions from fans and even threats of protests outside the building of Atlantic Records to get the label to release the album, reports Consequence Of Sound.
Earlier this year, Lupe Fiasco released his debut album with his post-punk group Japanese Cartoon, which the rapper revealed was a tribute to Joy Division.
