Madonna, 52, was one of the celebs at Prince's show at Madison Square Garden in New York on January 18 along with Jimmy Fallon, Leighton Meester as well as Donald Trump and his wife Melania.
According to UsMagazine.com, one concertgoer said Prince made a joke about Madonna's expensive show tickets before making a friendly call-out to the star.
The couple dated for a short time in 1985 and also duetted on a track together.
The pair are known for their long-running feud with Madonna calling the singer a 'little troll' in a 1994 interview.
