Contactmusic.com reports that The Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas gave Madge the boot for texting during a movie on Tuesday night (8th Oct) during the premiere of Steve McQueen's drama '12 years A Slave' at the New York Film Festival.
@TheManneFrank Madonna, however entitled she feels she is, is unbearably rude to others around her by texting in a theater
The tweet was accompanied by a link to a Daily Mail story, reporting Madonna erupted on an audience member for calling her out about the mid-movie texting.
Madonna, 55, responded, "It's for business... enslaver!" Bizarre commentary, except that the remark was inappropriate, as the film depicts the story of an African-American slave who worked on plantations in Louisiana for 12 years.
The CEO also spoke to Entertainment Weekly and said the initial tweets were an "offhand joke, a spur of the moment 140 characters" and that it was "more of a means to get the issue out there, that it is rude to text during movies."
