MADONNA banned ex-husband Guy Ritchie using a piece of music for his film that was composed by Kate Winslet's dad.
The Material Girl had a say on what music was used on Ritchie's 2000 film Snatch.
Roger Winslet said one of his songs was lined up for the soundtrack after he sent it to Ritchie who "absolutely loved it".
But when Madonna realised who his famous daughter was, she dropped it immediately.
Mr Winslet, 70, said he and his writing partner, veteran punk rocker Pete Brooks heard that Ritchie was making another film.
He said: "Me and Pete heard that Guy Ritchie was making a follow up to Lock Stock, so a mutual friend sent him a tape of track that I had only just written, in fact it was our first ever song.
"Apparently he absolutely loved it and asked us to go down to his place at Chelsea Harbour.
"When we got there he played it and played it again saying that it was perfect for the soundtrack. I thought "lovely we've cracked it.
"However, unbeknown to me, Madonna, Ritchie's wife at the time, was in on the music selection. I heard that as soon as she knew who my daughter was, she scuppered it."
Madonna's spokeswoman was unavailable for comment, while Miss Winslet's spokeswoman said she was unaware of any rift between the two.
