Madonna had four bodyguards for protection at a private dinner this week.
The singer has directed the film W.E, which is about Britain's King Edward VIII's love for divorcee Wallis Simpson and is premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Madonna attended a dinner for 60 people to celebrate the premiere of the film on Monday night, where she was spotted with the security personnel.
The New York Post says the star's detail 'guarded her like one of the royals in her film'.
After two hours at the meal, she was 'whisked away and out of town'.
According to the US publication, the film's producers' representatives Josh and Dan Braun tried to greet Madonna but were 'bounced' by her bodyguards.
However, when the American songstress left the dinner, she reportedly recognised the pair and 'fought' through her security to say hello.
The Weinstein Co.'s party kicked off shortly after Madonna left the dinner.
The American film studio's bash was attended by Ralph Fiennes, Abbie Cornish, Olivia Wilde and Jennifer Garner.
