Madonna is being sued by a UK director and firms who claim she owes more than $300,000 (£157,000) for a TV special on her 2004 Reinvention world tour. Hamish Hamilton and The Rude Corp claim the singer owes them $175,000 (£91,000) in directing and production fees.
The Los Angeles Superior Court action also claims Madonna owes production firm Done and Dusted Ltd more than $155,000 (£81,000) in expenses.
Madonna's spokeswoman said she was unable to comment on the legal action.
Mr Hamilton said he travelled to Madonna concerts in New York, Florida, California, Nevada, France and the UK and checked locations in Portugal for the TV special.
Done and Dusted Ltd said they were owed expenses incurred during pre-production and production work on the programme.
Madonna made more money from touring than any other artist in 2004, taking $125m (£65m) according to Billboard magazine.
The singer sold out 55 of 56 shows worldwide on her Reinvention tour, making about $2.23m (£1.16m) per night.document.write(unescape("
