Madonna says she is not interested in acting in any more movies, but she does want to move behind the camera like husband Guy Ritchie.
The 47-year-old popstar told the New York Daily News, "I want to direct."
Aside from praise for her debut big screen role in 1985's Desperately Seeking Susan, Madonna's acting abilities have been universally panned by critics and largely ignored by cinemagoers.
She is the winner of several Raspberries - the alternative Oscars - for her performances in movies like Body of Evidence and Swept Away.
Meanwhile, Madonna says she has no intention of retiring.
"I'm not thinking of quitting. I ain't going nowhere," she said.
Madonna's new single, Hung Up, is released next week followed on November 14 by her latest album Confessions on a Dancefloor.document.write(unescape("
