MANDY MOORE said she was so nervous when debuting her new album that she resorted to hypnotism.
The singer performed songs from upcoming LP Amanda Leigh to a crowd of about 300 people at Largo in Los Angeles.
But she said she was so terrified that she had see a hypnotist before she took to the stage.
Moore, who recently married rocker Ryan Adams, said: "It is the most bizarre situation you can imagine. It's almost like therapy."
Despite recently admitting that she was embarrassed by her early pop career, the star treated fans to a remastered version of her hit single 'Candy'.
Amanda Leigh will be released in the US on May 26.
