Mandy Moore is reportedly trying her best to "keep things civil" with Ryan Adams.
The pair confirmed last week they were ending their marriage after Hotel Noir actress Mandy filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
And it's claimed she is disturbed by Ryan's behaviour following their separation announcement.
"She's trying to keep things civil but is pretty upset about the way he's handling this," a source told Us Weekly.
On January 23, the date Mandy filed for divorce, Ryan posted a stunned message on Instagram while he was working The Late Late Show in New York City which read: "Wow what a day".
It's been suggested Mandy, who asked for spousal support, is also "totally shocked" at how her 40-year-old ex is approaching the breakup.
Apparently the official dissolution court documents Ryan submitted on the divorce lists their date of separation as August 4, 2014, something 30-year-old entertainer Mandy completely disagrees with.
"They specifically discussed her filing," the insider shared. "[The August 2014 date is] coming from there being no prenup and is financially motivated."
It's claimed Mandy is so thrown off by his dissolution papers because she was convinced Ryan wanted to amend their union.
She supposedly believed he may have desired to give the marriage another go.
"He was desperately trying to make it work up until the days before he filed," the source said.
The pair, who tied the knot in 2009 after dating for a year, previously noted their decision to split was made on friendly terms.
"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost six years," representatives for the couple said in a joint statement to Radar Online. "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."
