Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are trying to "multiply".
The couple are desperate to have children and plan to start work on the first member of their large family as soon as possible.
Nick said: "We'll multiply. That's what's gotta happen."
A source close to the 'Touch My Body' singer has denied rumours the star is already pregnant, but added: "They are trying."
Reports Mariah is expecting were sparked last month when she was seen clutching what looked like a sonogram as she left a gynaecologist's office.
Despite being annoyed by pregnancy speculation, the 38-year-old pop star has recently confirmed she is ready to have a baby with her husband.
She said: "People are constantly asking me if I'm pregnant, but I don't like to talk about it too much. I just think about it as the next phase. We'll see.
"I've changed my mind about becoming a mother because I'm with 'The One'. I think we would make good parents, and that we'd be able to figure out how to do it properly."
