Mariah Carey has found her perfect wedding dress.
The 46-year-old singer is engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer, and recently revealed the pair is hoping to tie the knot sometime this year (16). However, things have hit a stumbling block due to Mariah's estranged husband Nick Cannon reportedly refusing to sign off on their divorce.
Despite not yet officially being a single woman, Mariah admitted she has already splashed out on a gown to walk down the aisle for the third time (she was also married to Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998).
"We're getting it together, darling," Mariah told E! News on Wednesday (15Jun16). "You know what? It's time. The dress and the whole thing. I'm working and he's working and everyone puts so much pressure."
"I have the dress," she smiled.
When asked where she was keeping the gown until the big day, Mariah laughed: "It's in a box, darling!"
Mariah is a mother of two, and shares five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with Nick. The duo are likely to be heavily involved in their mum's big day, and Mariah couldn't resist gushing about her offspring and how they are adjusting to the new man in their lives.
"Really my babies, they make me laugh so much. I just want to keep it like that," she added. "James is really great. He has his own kids and he's a fantastic father."
Mariah and Nick split in 2014 after six years of marriage. However, according to a recent report on TMZ.com, America's Got Talent host Nick has been taking his time to sign the papers which would make their divorce final, despite being the one who originally filed court documents to end the couple's marriage in December, 2014.
Later that month, a property settlement was agreed, with the pair also successfully negotiating the terms of joint custody of their children.
Mariah has allegedly been trying to get Nick to sign off on the papers for almost a year, but sources claim he is refusing to put pen to paper as he does not want the marriage to end.
However, Nick later denied the allegations, telling news show Extra: "The media has a problem of sensationalism. Me and Mariah get along great, and it's a process. Nobody is holding nothing up. Why would I hold it up? I want her to be happy... She is such a beautiful spirit."
