Mariah Carey has allegedly insured her voice for $35 million.
The 46-year-old singer is currently touring Europe with her The Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour and according to TMZ.com, has recently agreed to extend it to South America.
But now she has added even more dates to her roster, her team reportedly encouraged her to get some kind of insurance policy for her most important assets - her voice and her legs.
"Fact is, there are millions of dollars on the line now, and if anything happens to her major assets it could result in an epic loss of profits," a source told the website.
The outlet reports a policy for a music superstar like Mariah doesn't come cheap, with the policies costing $35 million each - a total of $70 million.
In addition, each policy has a high premium, apparently costing thousands of dollars, but Mariah and her team are said to believe it's worth it.
This isn't the first time it's been alleged that the singer has taken out insurance on a part of her body.
Back in 2006, she is said to have insured her legs for $1 billion after becoming the face of shaving company Gillette's Legs of a Goddess campaign.
A source said at the time: "The sum reflects her popularity. She's about to start a U.S. tour and she'll have to be careful."
Mariah is currently making plans to marry Australian billionaire James Packer. The pair are said to be hoping to tie the knot in August (16), and the Hero singer is apparently on a strict diet in a bid to lose at least 20lbs for the big day.
"Mariah is only eating four ounces of grilled chicken, lean beef or one of her favourites, broiled Chilean Sea Bass or grilled shrimp with grilled asparagus," a family friend told MailOnline.
"Mariah hates dieting because she loves to eat and she in Europe right now on tour, so it's difficult to stay on course with so much wonderful food around her all of the time, but she wants to have an hour-glass figure so she can have a very tight, sexy, figure-hugging gown."
