Mariah Carey's backstage American Idol requests will not include "putting a new roof on the building", insists a source.
The international songstress was recently named as one of the replacements on the hit show's judging panel, after mentors Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler announced their departure from the talent series.
Mariah - who is being paid $18million to sit on the panel - is famed for her somewhat demanding nature, but a source close to the star's camp says Mariah's requests won't be extraordinary by any means.
"It's all standard stuff, nothing out of the ordinary," the source told the New York Post of Mariah's rider requirements. "It's not like they'll need to put a new roof on the building. It's standard lists, whether it's for water, soda, veggies, snacks. It's all fairly normal."
According to the publication, staff at the TV show were "bracing themselves" for a list of requests from the superstar.
Mariah's famously outlandish rider demands have reportedly included baskets of puppies and furniture with "no busy patterns".
The star was even once said to have declared: "I don't do stairs".
There is still one vacancy on the panel, with stars including Adam Lambert and Mary J. Blige in the running to sit in the coveted chair.
