Mariah Carey was rushed to hospital after dislocating her shoulder.
The singer suffered the injury while on the set of her latest music promo, reports the New York Post's Page Six.
The medical treatment took place after she took a tumble while filming an accompaniment for the remix of her new single #Beautiful.
"Mariah fell while filming a video for the remix of #Beautiful, directed by her husband Nick Cannon," her spokeswoman Cindi Berger confirmed on Monday.
She arrived at New York's Hospital for Special Surgery on the Big Apple's Upper East Side on Sunday night to have her shoulder rearranged.
Mariah is resting after the accident and is said to be doing well.
"She was taken to hospital late last night, where doctors reset her shoulder," the representative explained. "She is fine and is recovering at home."
An insider claims the vocalist tripped and fell while wearing high-heeled shoes.
Mariah is still set to sing at a free concert on Central Park's Great Lawn July 13, an event in association with Major League Baseball to benefit the Hurricane Sandy Relief.
"She will perform, but it is likely she will have her arm in a sling," a source commented.
The mother of two-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe appeared on American televisions last week as part of the Macy's Independence Day celebrations on July 4.
The 40-year-old performed with producer Miguel, who recently had an accident of his own when he jumped and landed on a fan's head during the Billboard Music Awards.
Mariah is currently promoting her album The Art of Letting Go, which is scheduled for release this year.
