Mariah Carey isn't enjoying her reality TV experience but she knows fans will love it.
The singer confirmed on Tuesday (15Mar16) she would be taking part in her own docu-series for E! and while she is excited for fans to see what goes on behind the scenes of her current Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour, it has been hard to let go of her privacy.
"I am a private person," she told Britain's Sunday Times Style magazine. "It's a big thing for me. Yes, it's annoying. I wanted to document this tour because I don't know when I am going to tour again. I wish I could have documented other tours. I am doing it for the fans - they'll love it."
As well as performing all over Europe, Mariah is also trying to plan her wedding to fiance James Packer, who she became engaged to in January (16).
With so much going on it can be easy to get stressed, but the star is doing her best to keep calm and see the funny side of things.
"You just have to find the comedy in everything," she explained. "There's so much nonsense that's just not worth spiralling over."
Mariah has been married twice before - first to Tommy Mottola, the former head of Sony Music, from 1993 to 1997, and then to second husband Nick Cannon from 2008 until 2014. Her last union produced twins Moroccan and Monroe.
Despite her previous trips down the aisle not working out, Mariah still believes in the sanctity of marriage, especially now she is a mother.
"I am very traditional," she added. "I have babies, it's more appropriate. I don't know if most people can relate to that, but that's just how I feel."
And this time around, she won't be so public about her romance, explaining, "If I start talking about this relationship (with Packer), people will interpret it in their own way, so I think it's safer for everyone involved to just not talk about the very personal aspect."
