Mariah Carey is working until "5am" in the recording studio.
The singer posted a photograph on her Twitter page showing her hard at work writing songs for her new album.
Mariah has previously spoken about her desire to get her new material released as soon as possible.
She's so determined to get things finished that she's been working until the early hours of the morning to do so.
"Still in the studio@ 5am..but I LOVE this song we r writing ! Oh Deaaaar!!!! (sic)" she captioned the picture.
Judging by the star's resolve to stay in the studio for such a long session she wasn't suffering from the effects of too much partying over the weekend.
Mariah attended the So So Def Recordings anniversary concert in Atlanta on Saturday night where producer/rapper Jermaine Dupri put on a star-studded celebration to mark his label's 20th anniversary.
Other stars in attendance included rapper Jay-Z and Usher.
The festive evening ended with Mariah wheeling out a cake for her collaborator of many years Jermaine, otherwise known as J.D.
"Happy anniversary to my friend J.D. aka Jermash," Mariah said on stage as she lit the candles on the cake.
Mariah recently released her new song Almost Home, which appears on the soundtrack of movie Oz the Great and Powerful.
This follows the singer's single Triumphant last year, which is said to give fans a clue about the sound she is currently working on for her highly-anticipated album.
