The 40-year-old star, who is currently expecting her first child, will be appearing in a new ABC special, Mariah Carey: Merry Christmas to You and her mum will also have a starring role.
Carey wore a black dress for the taping of the special, in which she is seen singing songs from her new festive album, Merry Christmas II You.
The show will air on ABC on December 13 at 9pm ET and it was taped at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.
Carey announced last month that she is pregnant with her first child with hubby Nick Cannon.
