Mariah Carey's life story is set to be made into a musical.
The 'Touch My Body' singer has reportedly attracted attention from a big name in the theatre industry who wants to create a Broadway show based on her.
A source said: "A huge, huge Broadway producer is interested in Mariah's story and it's in discussions. Who would turn down an opportunity like that? Mariah has a fascinating life."
The stage show is set to feature some of the 39-year-old's most highly publicised troubles including her divorce from Sony boss Tommy Mottola in 1997, arguments with record producers and her reported physical and emotional breakdown.
The award-winning singer is now happily married to Nick Cannon, who she wed in April this year. In 2006, Mariah revealed plans to create a Christmas musical using tracks from her 1994 album 'Merry Christmas'.
The script was set to be penned by 'High School Musical' writer Peter Barsocchini.
