Mariah Carey says it's an "honour" to be a guest on Barbara Walters' show.
The singer and husband Nick Cannon welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe into the world in April. The couple will introduce the babies to the public for the first time in a US TV interview on 20/20, which will air later today.
Mariah is thrilled to be appearing on the show.
"It's an honor to be a guest on 20/20 with Barbara Walters. She is an icon and has always treated me with respect and kindness. I love her (sic)," she gushed on her Twitter page.
Mariah admits in the interview that finding out she was expecting twins was terrifying. The 41-year-old star was prepared by doctors when she learnt the news.
"It was good news, but it was scary news at the same time because then that also meant that it was a high-risk pregnancy," she told Barbara. "[The doctors] make you really aware that it's very dangerous."
The couple "waited a long time to find out" the gender of their unborn babies, Nick added. The pair were excited when they learnt they were having one girl and one boy.
"I would carry around the ultrasound picture and be like, "You see that?! That's manhood," he smiled.
